Online CV and additional employment information

Welcome to my Online CV

You can download a more concise version of my CV in Word format here

About Me

I have just completed a four year undergraduate masters' degree in Software Engineering at UMIST, and graduated with a 2:1 at the beginning of July 2002. I am actively seeking employment in a related discipline, and hope eventually to gain chartered status. I have had a keen interest in computing since I was about ten, and my skills with computers have consistently diversified and improved, whilst I have also maintained high grades at all levels of education.

I have a good grasp of programming, and my knowledge extends to several languages, including C, C++, Perl, Java, SML, Bash, Handel-C and Visual Basic. I have experience administering both Windows and Linux in a networked environment, as well as a practical understanding of networking hardware.

About This Site

By keeping my CV online, I hope to achieve two main things. Firstly, this is a living document, and therefore the information here can be changed regularly, as and when necessary. This means that potential employers will have the most up-to-date information possible.

Secondly, I aim to add information here that would otherwise be omitted from a regular CV, on grounds of limited space. At a later date, I may even include some samples of work I have completed.

The site is divided into several sections, each one being a sub-heading that would normally be found on a CV. These can be accessed by clicking on the buttons down the left side of the page.
